Special Racing Programme Information



Hartley16 trailer sailer championships, February 2005

The Hartley16 National Champs and the Auckland Hartley Association Champs were sailed on the Manukau Harbour from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 February, hosted by the Manukau Yacht and Motor Boat Club, Mangere Bridge. A total of 10 boats made up the fleet.

Weather varied considerably on the days with Day 1 providing a northerly at 15-18 knots, Day 2 showing a south-westerly 25 knots, followed by a calmer southwesterly on Day 3 with 10-15 knots.

Day 1
Race 1: Mac the Knife; Race 2: Shoestring; Race 3: Splash
Day 2
Race 4: Mac the Knife; all other races abandoned.
Day 3
Races 5, 6 and 7: Shoestring

Based on the Saturday and Sunday sailing results, the Auckland Hartley Champs were awarded to Shoestring (Craig Canute; Gary Halton) The Quickstik Trophy, for first family across the line, was awarded to Splash (Tony and Rory Flannagan)

Auckland Hartley Owners Association Championships were held on 14-15 June in weather conditions ranging from light to moderate winds. A total of 8 boats sailed and the results are as follows:
